About ECOSOCC

The Economic, Social and Cultural Council (ECOSOCC) is an organ of the African Union that gives African civil society a recognised role in shaping continental policy.

ECOSOCC was established in 2004 and is composed of social and professional groups from AU member states. It works through Sectoral Cluster Committees that mirror the African Union Commission's portfolios, advising the Union on areas where civil society expertise is most useful.

About ECOSOCC Connect

ECOSOCC Connect is the digital home for civil society organisations engaging with ECOSOCC. It supports accreditation, applications, submissions, review, decisions, and ongoing communication between ECOSOCC and its members.

The platform is operated by the ECOSOCC Secretariat and supports official digital workflows. Final decisions on eligibility, accreditation, selection, and appointment remain with ECOSOCC's authorised decision-makers under its rules and procedures.
